The Cafe

The one room is really cool. It is filled with a whole bunch of monsters dancing to some really weird music under some disco lights. This author did some nice things with Unreal Script. The monsters aren't violent, unless you try to attack one because that makes the (Dancing) Titan pretty mad.

Version 2.0 will have a completely different map created by someone

much more talented at that than me. Some newer more involved and

elaborate scripts will be included as well.

Description:

I was pretty bored one night listening to some music I found on the

internet when I came across a song called "Sleepless in Gdansk" by

Optic. Unfortunately that's all that is known of the guy who made

this music- not even an e-mail address was supplied.

I thought the music was both incredibly weird and perfect for what's

going on in this little map.

Turn the volume way up and listen and watch the creatures in there

dance. It's also very difficult and in some cases impossible to get

them mad at you here- I guess the music has a hypnotizing effect

on them!

If anyone is strange enough to want to use these dancing creatures

in other levels, let me know. They can easily be modified to perform

other functions and I'd be happy to help.

I guess the point of this is just to show you some more crazy things

you can do with UnrealScript.

Files:

Bovine.u ------> Put this in your unreal\system directory

Cafe.unr -> Put this in your unreal\maps directory

Gdansk.umx ----> Put this in your unreal\music directory

Usage (Important!):

Once the files are in their proper places, launch unreal with

the command: "unreal cafe". Make sure the volume is up!
