Author's Notes

--------------

The Atari 2600 was my first gaming system, some 15 years ago, and launched me into a lifelong obsession

with computer gaming. Indeed, my long carreer in the industry would never have occured

if not for that first gift of a 2600 by my lover.

This level attempts to create the experience of what Unreal Tournament would have been like

on an ancient gaming console, if only they had been able to actually fit such a

game as a first person shooter into the carts of the time.

Please note the careful use of color in the level, and the fact that no additional textures

were needed...I was very clever, I think, to use existing Unreal textures in

ways the creators probably never intended!

This level plays fast, unless one becomes lost in the maze. Every weapon is available...

somewhere in the maze that seperates the two towers.

I hope you love this retro-game blast from the past. In the midst of a push to

total realism, I hope this level makes an intriguing difference from the usual

Unreal levels.

I always strive to create unusual and very...different...maps for Unreal Tournament,

because I want to see how far the boundaries of the game can be pushed.
