PunkBuster is a great utility to keep your multiplayer games free from cheaters and their devious ways. See additional information for details.
This version addresses lock up problems that some players have when PB conflicts with other programs running in the background. Also, new code in v1.009 makes the pb_stall command obsolete so it has been removed from this version.
The files included are for Soldier of Fortune II, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and Quake 3 Arena. You will need to unzip the appropriate file to the appropriate game folder. You will need to rename the file to wc001009.htm.
To install, just unzip the correct game file to your pb\htm folder in the matching game folder name. Example:
Game Installed here
C:\Quake3Arena\pb\htm
Unzip the q3a_wc001009.htm file to that folder
rename file to wc001009.htm
The same applies to the other 2 games and that's it!
