Deathmatch, It's pretty small, so about 6 players, absolute max.

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH

*********************************

This is my first game level ever. Feel free to e-mail me with kudos or complaints. Be kind.

I'd like to thank GANDALF [Frank vh Groenewoud] for kindly answering the questions I sent him.

Raven Software, what can I say? I could've easily hated a game where the main character bears

my name... (BTW, Corvus is Latin for raven, folks) But you've won me over. Thanks for a great

game!

I used HereticEd to build this level. Perhaps I'll check out other editors now... perhaps not.

My next map will be entitle Geode (I hope).

*********************************

VITAL STATS

*********************************

Map Name: Empty Nest

Filename: dmemptynest.bsp

Author: Corvus (no, really) Elrod

E-Mail: [email protected]

URL: http://www.otherwhenent.com (when I've created my

second map, I'll add Heretic II stuph to the site)

*********************************

INSTALLATION

*********************************

Unzip the file into your 'heretic II\base\maps' directory

To run the map, you can type "deathmatch 1" and then "map dmemptynest"

in the console

*********************************

PLAYING THE BEAST

*********************************

Single Player: Nope (well, you can start it up and run around all

alone in deathmatch mode...in fact, you may want to

before inviting others in)

Co-op: Nope

Death Match: Yeah baby, yeah! It's pretty small, so about 6

players, absolute max.

The Why: 1) If you like staff-only death matches but feel it's

getting too easy.

2) You like your environment to fight back.

3) You enjoy watching your opponents drowning in goo.

4) You want your coworkers who death match with you over

lunch break, to think you are the ultimate evil (mine do).

The What: Three rooms (well, two and an oubliette).

6 Shrines: 1 Chaos

1 Staff

1 Gold Armor (damn hard to get to)

1 Spirit

1 Ghost

1 Power

Defense: Lightning Shield

Meteor Swarm

Morph Ovum

Teleport

Offense: Nope

If you can't find all these items, don't assume I'm lying,

crazy, or a crappy level designer, just poke around a bit.

If you hate the map, can't make your way around and delete

it from your hard drive... then you can assume I'm crazy

or a crappy level designer, but remember that I'm not lying

when I say this level is NOT friendly.
