or to solve chess problems.

The application supports PalmOS 3.0.

Installing/Upgrading

--------------------

To install this program and the chess databases use your Palm install tool and Hotsync to

load the .prc and .pdb files into the Palm.

Each chess database is delivered in 2 files :

- xxxxxGames.pdb

- xxxxxIndex.pdb

where xxxxx is the name of the database.

Warnings

--------

- the 2 files of a database must be loaded into the Palm. If one of these files are missing

PalmChess cannot process the database and you will get a "DB not found error" message.

- these files are deleted from the Palm only from the PalmChess program.

Using the Program

=================

1) select a database.

2) select a game from the selected database.

In order to view the selected game, push simply the scroll up button to go one move forward

and the scroll down button to go one move backward. Repeat this step until the end of the game.

At each step, you can try to guess yourself the next move that was played in the game by

dragging a chess piece with the pen. If your move was not the move played in the game

the move is undone and you get a warning message.

If your move is the right one the program plays automatically the next move.

This functionality gives to the user the ability to compare itself with famous grandmasters,

but also the ability to solve chess puzzles.
