TicTacToe 3D is a TicTacToe game with 3x3, 3x3x3, 4x4, and 4x4x4 boards much like that old TicTacTics game for Win 3.x.
TicTacToe 3D - Final Release 1.22 Mar 01, 2000
About:
TicTacToe 3D is a TicTacToe game with 3x3, 3x3x3, 4x4, and 4x4x4 boards much
like that old TicTacTics game for Win 3.x. I looked all over trying to find
one, but my search turned up nothing. So I decided to make it.
Release Notes:
v1.22 - 2000.03.01:
Made computer versus computer "faster".
v1.21 - 2000.03.01:
Fixed a bug that didn't show up in the emulator where the bottom of the screen
wasn't erased.
v1.20 - 2000.03.01:
Fixed a bug in the AI where the computer won't block one of your possible wins
on the 3X3X3 board.
Due to popular demand, I addded 4X4 and 4X4X4 boards. As soon as I get my hands
on the 3.5 SDK, I'll release a version in color.
v1.00 - 2000.02.29:
Finally finished the AI to my satisfaction... It is no longer "predictible".
v0.92 - 2000.02.28:
Fixed a bug on the 3x3x3 board where by if you won on one of the diagonals it
would cross out the wrong line.
v0.91 - 2000.02.27 (a few hours later):
Fixed a bug when checking a diagonal in the 3x3x3 board...
v0.90 - 2000.02.27:
TicTacToe 3D now has an AI. I'm seriously considering making this the final
release, but I'm not 100% satisfied with the AI. When you do computer versus
computer (why would you anyways???) the AI seems to lag at some points. Also,
the AI doesn't plan ahead for victory. It just notices if it happens to have
two in a row. I have not updated the scan-line polygon fill algorithm either.
v0.31 - 2000.02.24:
I've updated the crossing out to use an algorithm I just made for polygon
filling rather than drawing lines that make it appear pointy at the ends. The
polygon fill algorithm is a little processor intense I believe because you can
"see" it filling. Granted it takes only milliseconds to fill, but it is
noticeible if you watch close.
v0.30 - 2000.02.19:
This program is about 95% my own work. Only circle.c was created by someone
else, and since there is no copyright or statement at the top of the file, I
do not know who to thank, but it sure made my life easier. =)
TTT3D is less than a week old, and currently, only human versus human
mode is availible. I will be developing an AI and will release the next
version hopefully by the end of February. Feedback is GREATLY appreciated,
but this product is not supported in any way. It is entirely freeware. And
source is availible at my website.
