A classic tune this one, from an old Sierra adventure game. It played as the Main Theme to Gabriel Knight. Everytime I played the MIDI I heard the techno tune in the back of my head. The game itself was great in the sense that it had a very strong storyline when compared to other adventure games at the time, which were mostly just about whacky pirates, wizards or talking animals. I think that the theme captures Gabriel's character extremely well.

Ofcourse, I had to leave the intro tune as a piano solo since it is so damn good. The techno is pretty standard, used a new kick and a new bass sample aswell, which I think sound wicked, at least on my speakers they do. Appart from adding a few trance effects to the tune, I tried to leave the original piano as 'main lead' as I could. At the last moment I realised that I was missing an organ, so I put that in at the start and at the end, which I think was a nice touch. I'm glad I finally mixed this tune, it's been in my head for a while now.
