An frustratingly addictive solitaire dice game.

Finally!

by Joel Epstein

Introduction

Finally! is what you'll be saying when you win this ridiculously simple,

yet maddeningly addictive solitaire dice game.

Objective

Fill all nine slots on the game board.

How To Play

When the game begins, the dice are automatically rolled.

Based on that roll, tap the numbered squares to equal the total of the roll.

For example, if a five and one is rolled, you could tap on

6, or 5 & 1, or 4 & 2, or 1 & 2 & 3.

When you tap on a space, a grey ball appears.

If you decide to change your mind,

tap on the square a second time to make the ball disappear.

When you have selected the rolled total,

the dice will change from a grey border to a black border.

Tap on the dice to roll again.

Once you roll, the balls played turn black and can no longer be removed.

Game play continues until either:

(a) you fill all the numbered squares EXACTLY -- thus winning the game, or

(b) can make no more valid taps -- thus losing the game.

To start a new game, tap the "Start Over" button.

Total turns and wins for the current game session and the life of the game are displayed

at the bottom of the screen. To clear these totals, tap on the word "clear,"

located in the upper right corner of the screen.

Installation

This program requires Jeremy Dewey's Pocket C (www.orbworks.com).

A runtime version is included in this archive.

To install, use standard hotsync procedures to load the following files:

(a) Finally!.pdb

(b) Finally!.prc

(c) PocketC (if not already on your Pilot)

To launch Finally!, tap its icon (a circle with two exclamation marks).

What I Want

I spent 3 days ignoring my work to write this program.

Please send me a postcard to let me know my time wasn't completely wasted.

Thanks.
