This zip contains Menu music and loader screen music for Battlefield 1942. Readme text file included.
18 July 2003.
Ok, i like to change battlefields music from time to time and have tried quite a few different files i have downloaded from BF1942files. Anyway i thought i'd put together some audio files of my own for the menu music and loader screens. I had fun putting this together and so thought i'd share it with all you that are also interested in changing your music around from time to time.
Here are the files i mixed for the menu audio in order of playing. (Radio & Music mixed together).
Music: Theme from A Bridge to far.
Theme from Bridge over the river kwai.
Theme from Where Eagles dare.
Radio snippets:
Winston Churchill speech:- Their finest hour.
Adolf Hitler speech.
German dive bombers attacking British Convoy in English Channel.
News report on Japan declaring war on USA & Britain.
Night attack by German bombers on British positions at Anzio.
Winston Churchill speech:- Germany attacks Russia.
Another part of Adolf Hitler speech.
Winston Churchill speech:- Fight on the beaches.
Dwight D. Eisenhower speech:- D-Day address.
Dwight D. Eisenhower announcement:- Italy surrenders.
BBC news flash:- Hitler is dead.
(Audio best accompanied with the Merciless 1942 Movie).
The loading screen music for me gets swapped about more often than the menu music because thats what you hear more often.
I thought i'd include something a little different for this audio release, some may like it and some may not.
It's called: Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy
sang by: The Andrews Sisters
It was music that was played on the radio during World War 2. It's quite a catchy little tune! :)
Ok for those that don't know where these files go in your Battlefield directory, here we go:-
Place both files (slaughter4.bik and vehicle4.bik) into your Battlefield/Mods/BF1942/Music folder. Be sure to backup your old slaughter4.bik and vehicle4.bik files BEFORE you overwrite them!
If you are useing Road to Rome expansion then put the above files into your Battlefield/Mods/Xpack1/Music folder as well as the above folder.
For Merciless, place them in your Battlefield/Mods/MC1942/Music folder.
I personally have both Road to Rome and Merciless and so have the audio files in all 3 of the above folders to be on the sure side.
I hope you think this adds to the atmosphere of Battlefield (i do) and that you enjoy it. If you don't, then don't use the files! Put your old files back! :)
