Alpha, first game of studio LASNERSOFT, is a puzzle game which will carry you to an addictive world, playable in a multi player mode off line as well as on line. The game is very simple. You have to pile up letters generated randomly by the computer in order to form words. The longer the word, the higher the score!

It is presented as a board, the letters come down from the top and are stored and mixed on the lines on the sides.

Different game modes will then be proposed:

In the solo mode will be found three different modes and a tutorial. The original mode where, like in Tetris, the scrolling speed will accelerate until the board overflows and you, stressed out! The random mode will enable you to stock, sort and valid words in a limited time. Validation then gives points which turns into extra time, but the game doesn’t stop there. It also offers challenges to fulfill on a designated line and in a limited time. When the challenge is not fulfilled, the computer sends you malus such as letters coming down faster and impossible to move up and down.

Once this concept is assimilated, you will amazed to re-discover spelling in a playful and addictive way, uncovering new words and finding more complex ones (in the manner of Scrabble) in order to blow the score! This is surely the strong point of the game, which reveals itself very interesting. Great backgrounds and funny animations will accompany you during your game.

Finally the multiplayer mode (also playable on Internet), which is presented likewise but by consequence, has many boards. This is the mode which enables you the most interactions, with the possibility to launch super hits (Furies) in order to destabilize your opponent, sending him a shower of letters, a challenge to fulfill, or a malus through the intermediary of a rocket, a mage, an Aztec mask, and many others yet to discover. It is in this particular mode that the game takes all its dimension, given that the animations are more numerous and very amusing. You then find the game very taking, so a customizable handicap system has been put in place in order to even the level differences.

With some practice, Alpha will reveal itself addictive, fun, educational and innovative. The pleasure of playing will be there, especially in the multiplayer mode where you will find it very enjoyable to kick your opponent’s butt with furies. This is what Alpha is like.
