This is a map which may not be historically correct but tries to depict battles of small pockets that may have taken place near Berchtesgaden and the Eagle's Nest during the REDOUBT period of WW2.

It was Americans who were there but even after that we can imagine that Russians also
would have arrived. The whole Redoubt is shrouded in myth and rumours to begin with but one thing is for sure
NAZI strongholds were there among the treacherous terrain.
