Tyranny is a fast passed arcade game which you are dictator of four cities which you need to defend from the attacking missles.
Tyranny 2.0.1
==============
Tyranny is a fast paced arcade game for the 3Com PalmPilot in which you are a
dictator defending your 4 cities from invasion. You must protect your cities by
'catching' the incoming missiles in the explosions of your own missiles. As you
progress through the levels, the game gets faster and you discover that your
enemy has a few other tricks up its sleeve...
Instructions (in case you want them) are in the 'Info' menu along with a more
detailed story line (in case you're bored).
Note: This is version 2 of the game formerly called MissileCmd.
The name was changed because of copyright issues.
*Changes in version 2.0.1*
* The preferences are no longer occasionally lost
* The game state is now properly saved & restored under PalmOS 2.x
* The scoring system was changed so that its more reasonable
*New Features in Version 2*
Version 2 includes a whole bunch of new features:
* Highly configurable game play
* The game is preserved if you go to a different program
* Missile trails are no longer erased by explosions
* UFOs which drain the missiles from your cities
* Helicopters which drop SmartBombs
* SmartBombs which dodge explosions
* Ballistic missiles that split up part way down the screen
There are also a number of other minor changes and additions,
which I'll let you discover for yourselves.
Have fun. :)
*Disclaimer*
I've been playing Tyranny for a while now, and haven't found any major bugs.
However, I can't be sure they don't exist and I can't afford to take
responsibility on the off chance that my game kills your Pilot.
So, if you use this software, you do so at your own risk.
*Shareware*
Tyranny is now shareware. If you like it enough to pay money for it, then
by all means do so. Send $5 (or whatever you think its worth) to me at the
address below. Alternatively, you can register online at PilotGear HQ at
the URL: http://www2.viaweb.com/pilotgearsw/jessedonaldson.html
If you like it, but not enough to pay money for it, then
please don't stop using it just because its shareware.
*Thanks*
A few bits of the code were taken from HardBall (most notably the high scores),
so many thanks to Roger Flores and Palm Computing.
Thanks to Mark Sumner for thinking of the Smart Bombs.
And, of course, thanks to my beta testers:
Kenn Burnell, Andy Holt, Richard Kaszeta, and David Stachour.
Also, a very special thanks to Eric Cloninger for bringing to my attention
the fact that I had neglected to put his name in the release notes...
