Online-only, massively multiplayer space simulation. As the owner and pilot of a spacecraft, pilots acquire wealth and status by engaging in trade, mining, or combat.
Jumpgate is a massively-multiplayer space simulation, modeled after the classic space exploration games. New recruits start off in a shuttle of their faction, with enough equipment and currency to get you going - from that point on, you make your own fortune and reputation.
Other space MMOGs on the market are "space adventure RPGs" with
point-and-click gameplay based on leveling. Jumpgate is a true space
simulator that requires actual pilot skill in docking, maneuvering, and combat.
This version includes Jumpgate's expansion, "Episode 2:Attack of the
Conflux". anyone signing up for Jumpgate automatically starts out in a
10-day trial period. If during that time you are not satisfied, you can cancel your account and not be billed at all, no questions asked.
