This is a great program that cranks your TCP/IP connection to give you optimal performance. It can easily increase your throughput by sixty percent or more and is usable on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, and 2000! This is just a twenty-one day trial, after which a registration fee is implemented for further use.

System Requirements:

Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 4.0 SP4+, or Windows 2000

For Windows 95, you will need the Sockets 2.0 update available from Microsoft.

One or more network adapters (modems, ethernet cards, cable modems, etc.).

TCP/IP networking installed.

A desire to get the most out of your network connections!

Release Date:5/5/2001 Version 2.82.166

New Features and Changes:

Added Preferences item to File menu. Moved application configuration type settings to this new dialog..

Added graph to Testing tab to visually show a short history of the average throughput of the current testing session. This will easily show when a test transfer jumps around a lot - indicating network congestion rather than poor setting - not absolute, just an indication of potential external factors influencing the tests adversly..

Moved proxy settings for testing to the Preferences dialog (File | Preferences) to unclutter the Testing tab.

Added option in Preferences to disable support for editing the Hosts file in iSpeed. With very large Hosts files (~10,000 entries), this can cause iSpeed to take a long time (minutes) to initialize - appearing to be hung or terminated. If you have a large Hosts file, it is recommended that you disable this support.

Bugfixes:

Fixed 'Help on Current Tab' option on Help menu pointing to incorrect sections in Help file.

Delay problem (sometimes quite lengthy) fixed when aborting in-process test downloads. Aborting a download now occurs almost immediately.
