Ceville, the tyrant and ruler of the fairy-tale realm of Faeryanis is removed from power after a revolt. The kindhearted Queen Gwendolyn now reigns over the kingdom with a council of noble and wise counsellors to assist her until a plot to murder her and summon a great beast. Ceville is back to the realm he was kicked out of.
