Episode III: "Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Motherboards"
"The application of 240V AC mains power to strategic positions
on the boards resulted in showers of sparks and produced nasty electrical
noises"
Episode III came to be after we discovered a use for unwanted and outdated
PC hardware. The application of 240V AC mains power to strategic positions
on the boards resulted in showers of sparks and produced nasty electrical
noises (take our word for it, don't try this at home). Episode III features
all-new footage since Episodes I and II including hard-drive-meets-sledehammer
scenes. Out of interest the hardware all belonged to the era of the 386 and
earlier, with some 486 parts thrown in after I had assembled what I could
into complete systems. The hard drives were all dead, or soon-to-die low
capacity Quantum ProDrives = ).
