Lemons is a game of strategy, wit, and timing.

Welcome to Lemons!

Lemons is a game of strategy, wit, and timing. Here's how it works: the game (Lemons.prc) does nothing by itself; you need to install a Lemons board file. Each board file contains a number of levels. You are intended to play these levels in order, though that's not a requirement; you can skip to any level you want using the menus. When you're done with a board, feel free to delete it and install some new ones. Or, if not satisfied with the boards available, make your own using the LemonsEdit board editor.

Your Lemons distribution should contain the following files:

1. Lemons.prc Ñ this is the Lemons game itself. Install this.

2. SampBrd.PDB Ñ this is the sample board, which contains four levels. You can play these levels on the unregistered version of Lemons. Install this too, unless youÕre upgrading and have no interest in playing the sample levels any more!

3. LemonsEd.prc Ñ this is the Lemons Editor application (ÒLemonsEditÓ). It allows you to create your own Lemons boards, or edit boards you obtain elsewhere. Install this when you want to start tinkering around with board designs.

4. Docs Ñ this directory contains "lmn-doc.htm", an HTML document describing use of Lemons in more detail. It also contains "EditRef.txt", a brief reference manual for using LemonsEdit. You'll want to read this over once or twice before you start editing boards.

5. temple.pdb - "Jungle Temple" Lemons board. This is a 5-level board, set

deep in the tropical jungle. (You'll need to register Lemons to play this

board.)

PLEASE NOTE: Lemons requires at least 40K free memory, and may crash if you have less than this. I'll try to make it handle low-memory situations better in future versions. Till then, please don't use Lemons or LemonsEdit unless you have at least 40K free.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Some Mac users have had trouble installing the boards; if you launch Lemons, and there are no boards listed and the Play button does nothing, then the boards were not properly installed. This is due to a bug in v1.0 of the Mac Conduit Manager. You need to download and install a patch from Palm's web site (http://www.palm.com), or install the boards via Palm Buddy.

REGISTRATION

Lemons is shareware. You can play the sample board as much as you want, but to play other boards, you are required to register the game for US$10. This is done over the web; point your browser to
