A free version of the old arcade game Asteroids using Direct3D. Comes with Multiplayer support.
G-Asteroids is an arcade game where you fly around space destroying asteroids for points. There is no limit to how far you can play this game beyond your own skill at shattering large chunks of space rock. To play the game is easy. First you select which ship you wish to use out of the four choices, and then you blow-up as many asteroids as you can. When your ship is destroyed (eventually it will be), you can respawn and continue to play for a price of 500 points. If you don’t have the points to pay, the game is over. While playing you may notice small objects, not asteroids, floating through space. These are power-ups. They will give you things like better weapons and more shields. Power-ups are rewarded to players for destroying many asteroids while staying alive.
