This application will help leaders of online gaming groups (clans, cults, cabals, etc.) keep track of their respective member's information. It will hold information such as: contact info (e-mail, ICQ), available times for play, time zone, miscellaneous notes. ClanWatch will not only hold this information, but help with scheduling practices, matches, and communicate this information to members.
This program was created in an effort to help the online gaming community as a whole. Its main focus is the task of keeping track of clan member information and scheduling, but the new version takes this to the next level
A lot of new fields have been added to ClanWatch, but the best of them is the ability to add up to four custom text fields and/or up to four custom drop down fields. In the past versions, ClanWatch was firmly focused on minimal member information and maximum scheduling help. The new version keeps the scheduling focus intact, but creates an environment that will help ClanWatch to be your source for storing member information!
Here is a small breakdown of what ClanWatch has always done:
Store all of your member's information in a single area.
Break your clan into sub-divisions, multiple clans, etc.
Keep track of members "Available times for play".
Times are stored in the dB as GMT, when you are viewing their information for scheduling, it is displayed in your time zone; when entering member information, you tell ClanWatch what time zone they are in and you enter in the times in their time zone (since that was probably the way they told you anyhow!). I'm sure that kind of sounded confusing, but it's not once you get into the software, basically this takes away the need to keep track of and convert player times to and from your own time zone. About the only thing you need to keep track of is the Daylight Savings flag for each of your members time zones.
Times can now be entered and displayed in either European Standard/Military time as well as the AM/PM format.
One click "Who can make a match at this Date & Time?".
One click "What are the best times for a practice/match?".
Outbound E-mail support. Simply key in your SMTP server information, and you then have the ability to send out e-mails to your entered members. Whether it be scheduling information, or clan announcements, ClanWatch can handle it!
HTML Export. If you have the need to get your member's information out on the web and you don't feel like typing all their information in again, ClanWatch will generate an HTML table filled with selected members information and export it to a file or to the screen.
Here is a list of the changes/additions that were made with the latest version:
New User Interface
Ability to store member connection information
Custom Drop Down Fields
Custom Text Fields
All new schedule interface for easier maintenance of player time schedules
New Games field allows for you to keep track of games played, genres, types
Games can now be split up into divisions, so you can now have multiple divisions of the same game.
With the new division information, it is now possible to assign members to multiple divisions without any re-keying of information
Divisional titles are now implemented so you can assign directors to each of your divisions.
Added fields for AIM, Yahoo!, MSNIM
Daylight savings time (and European Summer Time) is now automatically calculated. If the Time Zone uses either of these, then the times will be automatically adjusted
