Abyss Lights: Frozen Systems is a space-based fly 'n' shoot-style 3D game that applies the physics capabilities of AGEIA PhysX technology in the context of outer space. The game is replete with spectacular explosions, collisions, flying objects, and extensive interaction of objects with different masses and shapes. Spacecraft and machinery are designed with complex and multileveled structures, which allow them to sustain minor injury, major damage or total obliteration, creating stunning realism for players.
The AGEIA PhysX processor is available now in game PCs from Dell, Alienware and Falcon Northwest, and on add-in boards from ASUS and BFG Technologies starting in May 2006.
"After extensive research, we determined that AGEIA PhysX technology is the most powerful and well-optimized physics solution on the market today," said Eugene Zhukov, president and CEO of Abyss Lights. "Abyss Lights: Frozen Systems will be a fantastic demonstration of hardware-accelerated real-time physics in the exciting realm of outer space."
"Abyss Light Studios is building a solid reputation for innovative content creation in the European markets and around the world," said Kathy Schoback, vice president of content acquisition at AGEIA. "With AGEIA PhysX technology integrated into Abyss Light's ALEngine engine, we look forward to seeing the real-time physics action of Abyss Lights: Frozen Systems, as well as future game titles."
