Spawn at one of the six points, hit one or two of the four Blade Shrines and run...

Rave Reviews For Past Maps

***********************************************

****Raves about Cogz****

"Oh man, I think I'm going to be sick."

"Wow, you can't read what people are saying!"

"Dude, I think I'm gonna hurl."

"Why does the water kill me?"

"Whoops, there goes the wine..."

"Wow. My ping sucks."

"I have to go after the next fight, I'm going to throw up... all right one more...

Nice shot. Just one more fight..."

****Raves about dmEmptyNest****

Yeah right. No one raved about empty nest. Not even me.

Some History

***********************************************

This is my 5th Game Map Of All Time

I don't talk about the first map. Too many scars.

There weren't actually 2nd and 3rd maps. The reference to them in the cogz readme file

was a lie (that isn't the confession).

My 4th map (Cogz) inspired many people to pass out, threaten to vomit, and complain about their ping.

But they didn't seem to stop playing on it... I saw this as good thing. I chose to interpret

it as a sign that Blade Duelists wanted something new, something challenging, something

that was the product of a mind fueled by too much caffiene and not enough sleep.

So, in honor of those bizarre stories I was told about lumberjacks running on logs floating down

the river (thank you Swedish heritage), I bring you yet another map that uses func_rotating.

This time the poly count is lower, so the ping shouldn't be so poor.

This time, it's a bit more dangerous.

This time I used swamp textures.

THANKS! ...and I mean that so much that I

haven't changed this section since my last map!

***********************************************

Thanks goes to to SparrowSlain, Flaming She Devil, shokugE, Hem ROID, and the other fine Blade

Duelists who inspired me to get back to map creating by providing me with a group of people

I look forward to getting killed by.

Map Name: Log Jam

Filename: logjam.bsp

Author: Corvus (no, really) Elrod, aka Praetor Judis, aka Traz

E-Mail: [email protected]

URL: http://www.otherwhenent.com (the site is haunted by a complete lack of Heretic references)

***********************************************

INSTALLATION

***********************************************

Unzip the file into your 'heretic II\base\maps' directory

To run the map, simply type "map logjam" in the console, or if you want to use your m-player skin, you can

type "deathmatch 1" and then "map logjam" in the console

PLAYING THE BEAST

***********************************************

Single Player: Wow, I can run back and forth over these logs. That's SO lame.

Co-op: Sure. Everybody can wear the same skin and run back and forth over the logs. Yawn.

Death Match: Absolutely. Spawn at one of the six points, hit one or two of the four Blade Shrines and run

back and forth over the logs killing other people. Now THAT is fun.

The Why: On nights I don't see my sweetie, I don't have anything better to do(that's the confession).

The What: What fits on your back?

What's great for a snack?

It comes in pairs.

And rolls down stairs.

(everybody sing!)

It's law-og. It's law-og. It's big. It's heavy. It's wood.

It's law-og. It's law-og. It's better than bad. It's good!

Defense: Not until the EP comes out.

Offense: Crimes against nature and humanity. What exactly does that mean, anyway?
