---------------------------------------

Backjack is a Freeware PalmPilot based PocketC Applet of the game Blackjack.

This game is Freeware and requires PocketC(PocketC Free Runtime included

in the distribution) to run. This is a simple implementation of BlackJack

(aka 21, aka Backjack).

Rules:

- From the Intro screen hit 'Deal' button to start.

- Pilot has to hit(take a card) on any score of < 17.

- This implementation uses one Deck(52 cards).

- If you hit 'New Deal' button the deck continues to be used unshuffled.

- Once the deck is used up it causes a reshuffle and a new hand is dealt.

- If you hit 'New Deck' takes you back to the Intro Screen.

- 'Hit' button deals you a card.

- 'Pass' button passes turn to the Dealer.

- If you bust(go over 21) or get 21, deal automatically passes to Dealer.

- The Backjack bitmap(in center of game table) has a Popup Menu that allows

Hit, Pass, Shuffle(same as 'New Deck' button but you are not taken back to

the Intro screen) and New Deal.

- There is no splitting currently.

Future ideas include in no Particular Order:

- Splitting.

- Psuedo Money.(Betting)

- Double Down.

- Save State.

- 6 deck version. (Las Vegas Style).

- Odds calculations.

- Win/Lose counters.

- Ability to setup a hand and play it out with odds.

- Virtual Players so Odds can be calculated with more than

just You and the Dealer.

This has been tested on PalmIII but should run wherever PocketC does.

This version only works with OS 2.0 and up.

Feedback welcome!
