This program records chess game moves.

This program records chess game moves.

To execute a Menu command, just draw a shortcut letter (without the command shortcut).

To record a comment, tap the underlined area. To browse the game use either screen

or hard buttons.

Note. If you are at the beginning of the game you will get to the Header info form.

When you scroll back and then make a different move the program records

a branch automatically.

Games are saved as a memo records.

To set up a position use menu "Do Setup" command. When you save the game after

setup it uses FEN format. Registered CR can load FEN as well. To compact the

program I have not implemented position validation. Checkboxes in the bottom of

the form let you set move turn and casting options. If you prefer to setup a

position starting from the empty board, tap "Delete" button.

A tip. If you change your mind and want the initial position again, use command

"Do Setup".

You can specify Categories for loading (registered version) and saving games.

Save Category "All" means that it will be the same as Load Category.

To replace a game it has to have the same first line (between {}) and be in the

same category.

To be "loadable" memo should have PGN comment {..} on the very first line (that is why

games are saved in this format).

If there is only one game to load the program will proceed immediately, otherwise

you will see a list of loadable games.

I did not try to make the loader very understandable because of system limitations.

Nonetheless if you find any incompatibilities with your favorite database please let

me know. I was trying to comply with ChessBase only.

To load from Clipboard you have to have a complete game there.

Restrictions: Memo size <= 4K, Clipboard <= 1K. When you save a game in Memo and

its size >4K, your Memo will be read-only. These are not my restrictions, but

Pilot itself.

PLEASE NOTE:

Once you have registered please do not delete the program before future

upgrades. This will preserve your registration even after hard reset.

If you delete Chess Recorder from your Pilot, you will have to re-install

the version for which you received your registration ID, register it and

then upgrade (again without removing the registered version).
